Wrote this for my high school paper after the 2016 election and I look at it every once in a while and it calms my nerves, also makes me feel like I called it:

If you find yourself asking people, “Is Donald Trump really that bad?” Here’s my reverse ask to you, “Is Andrew Jackson really that bad?”

America has been through this before, a significantly less qualified candidate rallying support from the “common person”. Incase you forgot, Andrew Jackson forced the deportation of thousands of Native Americans even though the courts declared the action…
